Having limited dental coverage, I opted to try Dental Works in Austintown Ohio.

I told them I only wanted what was covered by my dental plan. Instead, they pushed to get a lot of things done like a special cleaning, removal of a couple of teeth, and a partial plate.

First off, they insisted on payment up front, which was hundreds of dollars and really out of my budget, but I got it in the hopes of being able to chew my food without pain. When you make an appointment there they ask you to be 10-15 minutes early so I made sure to be on time, I ended up waiting for over an hour, and during that time other patients were just walking in and getting called into the exam room without an appointment. At one point a woman who had been waiting went back to use the restroom. She came out and tried to get the attention of the receptionist, saying โ€œyou really should do something about that bathroom โ€œ. I should have run out of the place right then, as I had noticed right away that the place was run-down and shabby looking and actually pretty filthy.

I finally got called back and the dentist was alright, so I made another appointment to get the next thing I had to get done. After getting my partial, I found it to be impossible to use them, as it was extremely painful. Trying to get an appointment to come back to get them adjusted, I found I had to wait for well over a week because they were booked up, and they were only opened a couple of days week. Since they have offices in different locations nearby, I thought maybe they float the staff around to different offices to save money.

Whatever, I had to wait for an unreasonably long time for my appointment and for waiting to get called into the treatment room. The receptionist and the others working behind the front desk will completely ignore you or look at you with a blank stare when you try to ask them something. After months of trying to get my issues resolved, and the dentist there recommending even more expensive treatments I had to give up. I now have to search for a place where patients are treated like they matter, and where I donโ€™t get ripped off for my money and my time.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

DentalWorks Cons: Waiting, Waiting times, Repeated visits to get it right, Repeat visits to get it right.

Location: Youngstown, Ohio
